Dr. Becker, what a kind man and a great physician! I am so sorry about his passing. He was an inspiration to me; as a young pharmaceutical representative he would see me in office and we would discuss my products. As I remember he would enjoy my going over drugs not applicable to his practice as a way to keep up with new advances in treatments. I remember discussing our industry leading first lipid lowering agent. After I retired I went back to visit Providence Hosp. and serendipitously met him near the physicians lounge where we began almost 25 years earlier. He wanted to know what I was doing and who my Urologist was that had just performed major surgery. Caught up in the moment I had a brain-cramp and just couldn't remember his name. As expected, Dr. Becker wasn't very happy with the "cramp" and said, "you need to always remember your doctor's name." I laughed and agreed and those were the last moments of my saying another word, "have a good day Dr. Becker!" I think that my time with him was too short. Very fond memories.

When my husband, Leslie Becker III, died in 1999 his father called me every few days and then once a week for many months. We talked on the phone less regularly ever since. My own father died when I was I was two. I am forever grateful I had such a father in law, who would think of me as a daughter and make sure I was doing okay. I will miss him.

Our sincere sympathies to your family for the loss of your love one, and my neighbor for over 45 years, Dr. Leslie Becker.

Dr. Becker was not only an outstanding urologist, but a watchful and caring individual who never hesitated when asked to provide medical assistance when my children were young. He, along with the grace of God, even saved my son’s life when he was a baby and had stopped breathing. For those blessings, the Watson family will forever be grateful.

Although your heart is grieving, we pray the love of God continues to be felt and may fond thoughts bring you comfort during this difficult time. Reflect on all the wonderful memories you had and smile at the fact that you were able to share these before he passed away.

We would like to offer your family our deepest and most sincere condolences. May the soul of Dr. Becker rest in peace.

I am so sorry to learn of your father's passing. I have known him almost 50 years. I enjoyed working with him both at Cushing and at Providence. At one time I was his patient. He was the last one of the Leavenworth doctors to start calling me Jane, instead of Mrs. Arevalo, those many years ago.
