His Life
Clarence Louis Gatson was born August 10, 1960 to Clarence Lee Gatson and Susie Green Gatson in Chicago, Illinois. He was the third child born out of four children.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Lee Gatson; his grandmother, Elnora Green; his grandfather, LG Green.
Clarence received his education from Champion Elementary School in Chicago, Illinois, Westside Elementary School in Spearsville, Louisiana, Northwest Middle School, and Wyandotte High School in Kansas City, Kansas.
Clarence was a member of the Galilee Missionary Baptist Church. He had a love for Motorcycles and Cadillacs.
Clarence was a laborer throughout his life but, was best known for working with the children at The Learning Academy in Kansas City, Kansas. The kids and staff loved him dearly. He cooked, painted, fix things, and laid floors.
He leaves to cherish his mother, Susie Gatson of Kansas City, Kansas; two daughters, Taiasha Nichols (Martase) of Shawnee, Kansas; Alexis Gatson-Currie (Jerome) of Kansas City, Missouri; four grandchildren, Michael Berry, Jr.; Tai Berry; Sydnee Sims; Aleamiri-Hassan Currie of Kansas City; two sisters, Alice Marie Vann (Christopher); and Dianne Brown (Lendel deceased); one brother, Marvin Tracy Gatson; special friends, Ms. Carla Evans and Jonnie Copeland; a host of nieces, nephews, family, friends, and neighbors.
