Reflections of

Michael Bryant Williams

Michael Bryant Williams, affectionately known as “Mikey” was born in Kansas City, Kansas, September 29, 1962.   His parents were Bryant Eugene Cunningham and Bessie Young Williams, both which preceded him in death.

Mikey attended schools in Kansas City, Kansas graduating from Wyandotte High School in 1980.  After graduation, he went to Emporia to pursue his dreams, perfecting his gift in the culinary arts.   He worked for several area restaurants until he was unable to work due to his health.    His illness didn’t stop him from cooking, but it stopped others from tasting real good food!

At an early age he was baptized at the Pleasant Green Baptist Church.   He re-dedicated his life to Christ, April 24, 2014, at the Beauty of Holiness New Testament Pentecostal Church.

Mikey married the former Jennifer Wycoff.  The marriage was dissolved.   He later became friends with Peggy Jacobs.   A blended family of children was formed between the relationships:   David, Danielle, Jessica, Jared, Jeremy and Joshual.

Mikey joined his parents, and sister, Kimberly in heaven, November 15, 2015.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his children:  David (Micah) Williams; Danielle Williams, Jessica Jacobs, Jared, Jeremy and Joshua Jacobs; his siblings:  Anthony (Trina) Williams, Travis Williams, Felicia (Lawrence) Nelson, DeLora (William) Vanoy, Crystal Donnell and Marsha Meggerson; his grandchildren:  Isaiah Michael, Caroline Gray, Rhett Bryant, Stevie, JaNiyah, Jayveon; a fraternal uncle, Willie Cunningham, and a maternal aunt, Helen Young Gee; and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

Mikey was well-loved and was the rock of our lives.   He was a joy to his siblings and children.

Rest In Peace, dear Mikey

We will ALWAYS love you!
