Joe Willie Jones was born on December 14, 1957 in Kansas City, Kansas to McKinley and Eva (Promise) Jones. Joe grew up in Kansas City, Kansas, where he attended Northeast Junior High School. Joe had a very high IQ… He worked a homemaker in the Kansas City area.

Joe enjoyed dancing and singing. Joe had an auditions at The Royal Bunny Club, they wanted to sign him to a Music Contract before he became ill.

At an early age, Joe united with the Rising Star Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his father, McKinley Jones; his grandparent’s, L. C. and Adela Promise; McKinley and Claire Jones; one brother, David Jones; two sisters, Donna Jones and Lillie Jones.

Joe is survived by his mother, Eva Jones of Kansas City, Kansas; brothers, Eugene Jones; Danny Jones both of Kansas City, Kansas; Craig Tinsley of Kansas City, Missouri; sisters, Cora Jones; Dorothy Jones; Jetherine Jones; Josephine Jones; Jewell Jones; and Alisha Jones all of Kansas City, Kansas. Carla Lotha Cole; Joyce Jones; Demitrias Jones all of Kansas City, Missouri; and a host of niece; nephews; other relatives and friends.
