Howard Daniel Huggins, 69 passed away on February 7, 2016 at his home in Desoto, KS. He was born on July 13, 1946 in Kansas City, KS to Levi and Helen (Scales) Huggins.
Howard grew up in Kansas City, KS. He graduated from Kansas City, Kansas Public High School (now Wyandotte High School) in Kansas City, KS in 1964. After high school he briefly worked with his father for the Wyandotte County Sheriff’s Department transporting prisoners to different facilities. He began working for General Mills where he was the Wondra Assistant Supervisor. He retired in 2005 after 36 years. He also worked as a handyman.
Howard was an avid lover of Chevy Corvettes and he was a collector of firearms.
Howard was preceded in death by his parents, Levi and Helen: sister, Jacqueline (Jackie); and brother, Lester (Bubba).
Howard is survived by his son/daughter, Shawn (Jean), Huggins of Olathe, KS; Crystal Huggins of Powder Springs, GA; his brothers/sisters, Quincelia Conway of Kansas City, KS; Farrell Huggins of Kansas City, KS; Gwendolyn Richards (Rick) of Kansas City, MO; Venita Huggins of Kansas City, KS; Lee Huggins of Kansas City, MO; his grandchildren, Stefan; Shawn, Jr.; Jaslyn Kilcrease; Jazier Brown; a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives
