Our hearts are saddened by your loss and our thoughts and prayers are with you. I had the privilege of co-teaching with Delilah the last two years. She truly loved her students and wanted them to succeed. Delilah's specialty was building relationships with her students. She worked hard to do what was best for her kids. Delilah freely gave her love and beautiful smile to anyone who walked into her room. I will always have fond memories of my friend, Delilah.

My heart aches for the Whitley family to lose your precious loved one Delilah, after just 29 way too short years, way too young, way too soon. Words are so limited that can give comfort, so I would like to share with you a beautiful scripture where Jesus makes us a wonderful promise at John 5:28, which says: "Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out..." . Our heavenly father promises us to do away with man's worst enemy, death at Rev. 21: 4 which reads: "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore." For more comforting scriptures please visit: http://bit.ly/1K38EFt. It has provided me with hope, strengthened my faith and helped me find the answer to Why? I know it will do the same for you. God's kingdom that Jesus taught us to pray for at Matt. 6: 9, 10 will bring about these wonderful promises including the resurrection. John 6:40 Jehovah (Psalms 83:18) invites you to throw all your burdens on him and he will sustain you in your time of grief. I offer my sincere condolences to the family. Feel free to contact me at my email address: myranj@centurytel.net May these promises give you hope, comfort and peace in your time of grief.

Revelation 21:3-4

And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God.
‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”

Please know that I am thinking of you. I worked with Delilah in the school in which she taught. She was well liked and highly thought of by her students and fellow teachers. She will be missed dearly. I feel very lucky to have known and worked with Delilah.

We first meet on the basketball court as rivals, the both of us only in grade school. Two years later we would officially meet at Eisenhower Middle School now as classmates, where we began a strong bond. High school came around we went our separate ways that didnt stop us from hanging out. She would pick me up in her ford taurus with that mirror tent nobody could see in lol. We just enjoyed doing what young teenagers do that was having fun. She had an old soul and I will never ever forget her smile most of all. Thank you for being one of the greatest people I ever meet. We will meet again my friend. To her family please stay strong.

I am so sorry for your loss. I taught in the school Delilah was a teacher. Her smile sweetened up our school! Know that Delilah did touch the hearts of her students and I know she cared for them very much. She was a good teacher to them. I will be praying for you that the Lord will bring you comfort in your loss. My favorite Psalm in times like these is Psalm 46. I hope it helps in bringing you peace. --J. Morando
