Willie Earl Davis was born October 8, 1954 in Kansas City, Kansas to Catherine (Martin) Davis (deceased) and James T. Davis (deceased). His mother Mary K. (White) Davis (deceased). In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Charles T. Davis, Edward L. Davis, Bobby J. Hammond, Herman Hammond, and (sister) Mary L. Nixon.
Willie leaves to cherish his memories: his wife Sheila Davis, (daughters) Shalanda Christian, Shavondra (James) Baker and three grandchildren.
Brothers: James L. (Cathy) Davis, Sr., Donald L. (Phyllis) Hammond, Eddie (Michelle) Washington, Jerry (Heidi) Washington.
Sisters: Diahna (Alphonso) Carroll, Pamela Hall, Kathy Davis, Betty Washington, Belinda (Donald) Carrol, Deborah (Nolan) Jones, Davida Washington. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.
Willie attend Wyandotte High School in which he graduated while continuing his work career with TWA .
Willie worked for Trans World Airlines (TWA) for 40 + years; bought by American Airlines. He worked in the Accounting Department with the Airline until retirement. He enjoyed playing basketball and other sports though short, was a good basketball player. He loved music and you could always find him dancing, like a dancing machine.
Willie enjoyed helping others, in various communities, where he will be missed. He was very active in his church Outreach Ministries, and valued for his commitment to the church. He had a compassion for people and was willing to help others any time he was needed.
Willie accepted Christ as his savior and was a member of Bridge of Hope Community Church under Pastor Luther Eatman.
Willie loved family and was very out spoken, he would let you know what was on his mind! He had a special kind of spirit kind, loving and sharing and would help anyone in need, also he was a true friend to many.
