Life’s Reflection

William Henderson Sr. passed away on February 24, 2020 at his residence in Kansas City, Kansas.  He was born on February 23, 1949 in Vicksburg, Mississippi to James Henderson and Anniebelle Scott Henderson.  William grew up and attended school in Vicksburg, Mississippi.  After high school William enlisted in the United States Army where he received an honorable discharge. 

After being discharge from the Army William move to Kansas City working for BNSF Railroad as a Laborer/Machinist where he worked and retired form after forty-one years of loyal service

William married Geneva in April of 1973 in Kansas City, Kansas.  They were happily married for forty-one years.

He enjoyed fishing, cooking, working on cars, listening to music and being with family and friends.

 William was preceded in death by his parents James and Anniebelle Henderson, his wife, Geneva Henderson; his brothers, Sherman Henderson; Randolph Henderson; Henry Henderson; Isaac Henderson and Lieutenant Henderson; sisters, Lucinda Henderson; Mary Lee Gibson; Rosalee Henderson and Luella Moore.

Left to cherish his memory his children, Debbie Cline; Steven Sims and Brian Sims (Lotahe); Teresa Wallace (Taylor); William Henderson Jr.; Marcus Henderson; Tammi Henderson; Tynesha Henderson; Tynika Henderson; Anniebelle Henderson; Cora Kelley and Estella Freeman all of Kansas City, Kansas; 32 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; nephew, James Henderson who was his caretaker and a host of other relatives and friends.
