William Earl Henderson

Life’s Reflections

William Earl Henderson “Billy” was born, December 2, 1950 to Willie Earl Henderson and Marie Gertrude (Beatty) Henderson in Kansas City, Kansas.  William accepted Christ at an early age.  William attended the Kansas City, Kansas School District, graduating from Sumner “Class of 68”.  He excelled in sports such as football, basketball and baseball.  After high school he joined the Navy and was discharged with an honorable discharge.

He met and married Elizabeth Johnson “Betty” on June 22, 1974 in Illinois and he pursued a Degree in Criminal Justice.  Over the years he was employed as a Security Guard, and an Illinois and Wyandotte County Sheriff Department.

He also went back to school in Topeka at Washburn College to finish getting his Degree in Criminal Justice. 

“Billy” passed on December 28, 2020.  He was preceded in death by his mother and father

He leaves to cherish his loving memory; his daughter, Nicole Richard (Illinois); his two sons, Lionell DeChalus and Darnell DeChalus both of Maryland; a special cousin; Dale Perkins, Sr. (KCMO) and a host of other relatives and friends.
