Valerie Renae Mitchell

Valerie Mitchell, age 54, passed away peacefully at her home in Kansas City, Kansas, on June 17, 2026. She was born on February 25, 1972, in Kansas City, Kansas, to Charles and Pamela Watkins Mitchell.

Valerie was raised in Kansas City, Kansas, where she attended Schlagle High School. Following graduation, she pursued her education at Concorde Career Institute in Kansas City, Missouri, earning her certification as a Medical Assistant. Throughout her career, Valerie held various administrative positions, where she was known for her dedication and strong work ethic.

Valerie found joy in listening to music, creating cherished memories with family and friends, and spending precious time with her beloved granddaughters. Her warm spirit, loving heart, and gentle presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Mitchell III; her grandparents, Charles Mitchell, Sr., Lavern Hull-Weaver, Elijah Watkins, and Frances Hall.

Valerie leaves to cherish her memory her loving spouse, Darwin Bagley of Kansas City, Kansas; her sons, Jordan Mitchell and Christopher (Megan) Mitchell, both of Kansas City, Kansas; her sister, Crystal Mitchell of Kansas City, Missouri; her beloved granddaughters, Chania and Cailani; her stepmother, Fayetta Mitchell; her nephews, Christian Mitchell and Camrin Mitchell; and a host of other relatives and dear friends.

Valerie's memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her.
