Life's Reflection
Toney Lamont Smith was born on November 10, 1989, to Toney and Debbie Dye Smith in Kansas City, Kansas. Toney was the youngest of 5 siblings and the only boy. He graduated from Wyandotte High School in Kansas City, KS in 2007. While attending high school Toney participated in basketball, cross-country, and freestyle lyric battles. He was a loving, free-spirit who enjoyed working, being a father, son, brother, cousin, uncle, and friend. He LOVED his family; he always had a smile and hug to give each time he encountered you. Toney was a proud father of two children Tatyion L Smith and Teion L Smith, with his first love and high school sweetheart Telisha Hogan. Toney took great pride in and enjoyed being a father, lyricist, listening to music, playing video games, and spending time with family. His family and close friends enjoyed giving him topics to free-style and each time he was given the challenge, he nailed it. Toney was gifted with words and was always willing to share his gift in the most unique, loving, and funniest ways. When he was around, he kept a huge, beautiful smile on his face and was sure to get one out of anyone around him without having to try. Toney gave his life to the Lord at an early age at Gethsemane Non-Denominational Church where he sang in the choir and was an active participant in the junior church activities. In 2013 he was baptized and rededicated his life at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. Surrounded by loved ones at his home in Kansas City, Kansas on December 12, 2021, Toney Lamont Smith was called from labor to reward by our Heavenly Father. Toney was preceded in death by his father Toney Smith, aunt Cheryl Smith, grandmother, Delores Smith, grandfather, Chester Servoria, cousin, Robert Burgin III, and significant other, Christina King.
