“Terry's Life Story”
Terry J. Roberson, 64, passed away on December 24, 2020 at his home in Kansas City, Missouri. He was born on November 18, 1956 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Freddie Pearl Robinson. He was baptized at an early age.
Terry graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in Shreveport, Louisiana in 1974. After high school, he joined the Marine Corps and received an honorable discharge. He moved to Kansas City and began his employment career with the National Weather Service, as an equipment specialist for 20 years.
Terry pursued and married Sandra Livingston in 1996, and they enjoyed 24 years of holy matrimony. His mother, Freddie Pearl, and he joined Strangers Rest Baptist Church. He was a loyal and dedicated member of the church and an active member of the Male Chorus, Gospel Choir and attended Sunday School until prevented by his illness. Terry was a joy to know and he was kind, compassionate with a winning smile. He and Sandra were a happy couple.
Terry was preceded in death by his grandmother, Vater B. Jones and his mother, Freddie Pearl Williams.
Terry is survived by his wife, Sandra, of Kansas City, Missouri; his children, Terry Roberson II; Lynette Woods; Lydelle Livington; and James Jefferson Jr. all of Kansas City, Missouri; his many grandchildren; his 7 great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Special note from wife, Sandra, “Though we couldn't foresee the future, our faith in God strengthened, sustained and blessed us. Together, we endured the hard times through the grace of God. Now, it is time for you to rest from your labors. Sleep on!! I thank God for the years of our “love story.” I will cherish the memories I have of you and us together forever.”
