Teri Lynne Green

Life Reflection

Teri Lynne Green was born on February 22, 1964, in Kansas City Kansas to Willie S. Green and Doris Jean Green.  She was baptized at Open Door Baptist Church and later became a member of Mt. Zion Church.  Due to the pandemic, she started watching Faith City Christian Center online faithfully every Sunday.  She loved the lord.  Teri received her formal education from the Kansas City Kansas Public School USD 500.  She graduated from Wyandotte high school class of 1982.

Teri had the biggest heart for family and friends.  She loved to cook and feed anyone who was hungry.  She didn’t know how to cook for a small family because she would rather you be full then not have enough food.  Teri was very protective over her family and had a no-nonsense attitude.  She would go to the ends of the earth for you. She had the gift of remembering every single person that passed through her life, birthday, and anniversary.  Also bringing all her siblings together.

In 2015, Teri had to retire from working due to illness.  She would tell everyone Monday, Wednesday, and Friday she had to go to her part-time job (Dialysis).  She didn’t let her illness get in the way of living life.  She was and will always be a warrior.  In 2017, she joined the Zeta Amicae auxiliary of Kansas City Kansas to continue her passion for community service.

Teri was a devoted mother to her daughter Ashely.  As well as a loving daughter, sister, and aunt.  She loved her scratch offs and going to the boat.  When she hit big, she always shared the winnings and took care of her family.

On April 26, 2022, Teri Lynne Green was called home to be with the lord.  She is preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents; five siblings, and the love of her life Carlos “Blake” Blakney III.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughter, Ashely Green of Kansas City Kansas; parents, Doris J. Green, and Willie S. Green of Kansas City Kansas; bonus children, Kesha (Anthony) Bronson; and Mark Glover of Kansas City Missouri; sisters: Tonja Strong of Lithia Springs Georgia; Monica Green; Nicki Green; and April Green of Kansas City Kansas; brothers, Charles (Bernice)Sykes of Marks, Mississippi; Reggie (Linda) Green of Pontiac Michigan; MiGuale (Marquita) Green; and Willie Burks of Kansas City Missouri; Willie Shawn Green; and Kevin (Betty) Criss; Michael Green of Kansas City Kansas; Darren (Felicia) Green of El Mirage, Arizona; and Ronnie (Sharon) Kelly of St. Paul, Minnesota and many more siblings. five grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, and nephews.
