Stanley Jerome Garlington Jr

Stanley J. Garlington Jr., 33, passed away on November 24, 2024, in Kansas City, MO. Stanley was born on March 12, 1991, to Stanley and Lisa Garlington. He grew up in Shawnee, Kansas. Stanley accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church Of KCK. He participated in various ministries at the church; he sang in the choir, junior deacon, and participated in Sunday school. Later, he graduated from Mill Valley High School in Shawnee, KS in 2009.

After high school, Stanley attended the University of Kansas in Lawrence, Kansas, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Communications Studies and a Sports Management degree with a minor in Business Communications. He was a member of the Pi Kappa Phi fraternity. Throughout his life, he excelled in sales as an experienced account executive with a proven track record of success in sports, software, and the apparel and fashion industries. Stanley had an eye for fashion and a distinctive style, often showcasing unique socks, bow ties, and carefully chosen apparel that reflected his personality.

Stanley was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents. 

Stanley is survived by his parents Stanley and Lisa Garlington, his siblings Mi’lan Garlington and Sta’Nisha (James) Hersey, and nephews Jeremiah and Jonah; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives, and friends.
