Life Reflections

Sarah Manning was born on May 6, 1948, in McGhee, Arkansas to Alfred Howard Sr. and Author Jane Clark Howard.  Sarah grew up in McGhee, Arkansas.  She graduated from Deshay Central High School in Rohwer, Arkansas in 1968. 

Sarah married Elonzo Manning in 1969 in McGhee, Arkansas and they were happily married until his death.

Sarah worked for Walmart as a Sales Associate for 14 years.  She retired after working a total of 55 years.  Sarah was a member of Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church where she served in many capacities.  The Usher Board was loved being involved with.  She enjoyed playing cards and being with her family. 

Sarah Manning 74, passed away on January 7, 2023, at Ignite Medical Resort in Kansas City, Missioui.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred Sr.; and Author Jane Howard; her husband, Elonzo Manning Sr.; her siblings; Alfred Jr. (Helen); Charlie; Author; Dewey; Luther; and Miley Howard (Helen); great grandchild, Paul Frankie Lee Charles Beasley III.

Sarah leaves to cherish her memory children, Elonzo Manning Jr. (Lanisha); Anthony D. Manning (Amira); Johnie L. Manning; and Terry Cook (Jean); grandchildren, Monique; Johnisha; Antrionana; Johnie Jr.; Deja; Diana; Elonzo III; Anthony Jr.; Trevon; Skylar; and Elonzo IV Manning;  great grandchildren, Lana Manning; and De’Orie Manning-Locke; siblings, Clarence Howard (Patricia); Jessiemay Cook; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, church family, and friends.
