Roy Mae Fitzpatrick

Roy Mae Fitzpatrick, passed away on October 14, 2023, at the age of 87. She was born on July
11, 1936, in Kansas City, Kansas, to her parents Vera Irene Jenkins and James Spicer.
Roy Mae was raised in Kansas City, Kansas attending Sumner High.
She had a career as a Licensed Practical Nurse and worked as a lead supervisor at Wilcox Electric.
Roy Mae was a devout Christian who attended Allen Chapel AME and later Covenant
Presbyterian Church.
Roy Mae is preceded in death by her parents, James and Vera Irene, and her siblings: Marialice
Everett, Drucilla Booker, Gloria Spicer, Jimmy Spicer, and Brent Spicer. She is survived by her
loving brother, Kevin Barksdale, six children, Marvin Lynn Gray, Rory, Sheldon, Lisa, Kia and
Kelley Fitzpatrick, 19 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren, and 16 great-great-grandchildren.

Services for Roy Mae Fitzpatrick will be held on Friday, October 27, 2023, at Pleasant Green
Baptist Church at 340 David L. Gray Drive. KCKs. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. - 11 a.m, followed
by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m.
