Romona Laberta Thomas

Life’s Reflection

Romona L Thomas (Laberta) passed away on October 15, 2020 peacefully at her home in Kansas City, Kansas.  She was born on June 25, 1951 to Early and Elizabeth (Shepard) Thomas. 

Romona grew up in Kansas City, Kansas.  She graduated from Argentine High School in Kansas City, Kansas in 1968. 

She gave her life to Christ at a young age. She was a member of New Bethel in Rosedale, Kansas. 

She became the neighborhood Nanny/ Daycare.  She spent her days homeschooling, cooking, and doing arts and crafts. 

She became the one to reach out to for your favorite birthday cake and made the best Mac n Cheese that made an appearance at every neighborhood cookout. 

She donated her time to Harvesters, Catholic Charities, as well as Franklin Center in Argentine, Kansas.  

Preceded by death, father, Early Thomas Sr; mother, Elizabeth (Shepard) Thomas; sister, Phyliss Thomas; brother, Early Thomas Jr, and sister-in-Law Gail Thomas. 

Survived by her sister, Mary Thomas, brother, Marvin Thomas, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
