Celebrations of life for Renetta Louise Dawson, 75, passed away on September 14, 2020 at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital, Fort Worth, Texas.  Renetta was born on April 3, 1945 in Kansas City, Missouri to Frank Dangerfield Sr. and Helen Jones.

Renetta grew up in Kansas City, Kansas.  She graduated from Argentine High School in Kansas City, Kansas in 1963.  After high school she attended Kansas City, Kansas Community College in Kansas City, Kansas where she received an associate degree in Applied Science (Paralegal).

Renetta married John Henry Ragsdale in 1966 Kansas City, Kansas.  She retired from Area Transportation Authority December 1998 after working 22 years.  Before relocating to Fort Worth, Texas in 2016 she had attended and joined Oak Ridge Baptist Church Kansas City, Kansas, Pastor, Dr. Ricky Turner, previously an active member of Second Baptist Church, Pastor, Ron Taylor.  Once she relocated to Texas, she attended Lighthouse Baptist Church, Fort Worth, Texas, Elder Willie G. Jones in which she loved. 

She enjoyed throughout her lifetime bowling, watching tennis, western, and sitting on her front porch. 

Renetta Dawson was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Dangerfield, and Helen Jones; and brother, Frank Dangerfield Jr… 

Renetta is survived by her only child, Sherri L. Dangerfield-Davis, Overland Park, Kansas; granddaughters, Melanie Dangerfield, Ft Worth, Texas; Mia Davis, Overland Park Kansas; and Mona Davis, North Kansas City, Missouri; great-grandchildren, Majanae Bassett; Montel Dangerfield; Mesiah Rodgers;  Mortez Johnson; Maxon Cooley; and Mariyah Warren; a host of other relatives and friends.
