Mr. Randolph Grayson was born in Gulfport, Mississippi, to the late Mr. Marshall Grayson and Mrs. Earsell Grayson.
When he finished high school, he spent a year at Alcorn College. He later decided to join the Army. He served three years in the Army and received a National Defense Service Medal as an Expert (Rifleman).
After leaving the Army, he enrolled in Prairie View A & M University where he met his wife, Shirley Reed.
After leaving Prairie View, they both got jobs in the Kansas City, Kansas School District where he later retired after 33 years.
Randolph is preceded in death along with his five brothers, Arthur James, Adolph, Cleotra, Sr., Willie Gray, and O’Neal Grayson.
He leaves a wife of 49 years, Shirley Grayson, one son, Marshall Grayson, two daughters, Erika Fields (Scottie), Sherry Ritchey (James), one granddaughter (Meleah), and one sister, Dianne Jackson of Cleveland, OH, two nieces, Genevieve (Geon), Audrey, one nephew, Cleotra, Jr., and a host of relatives, family, and friends.
