Pernella "Ann" Garcia, 61, passed away on January 30, 2023, at KU Medical Center in Kansas City, KS. She was born on February 22, 1961, in Kansas City, KS to Lawrence and Gloria Mitchell. She grew up in Kansas City, KS and graduated from Wyandotte High School in Kansas City, KS in 1979.

Panella began work for Our Lady Daycare as a Childcare attendant where she worked for 10 years. In addition, she worked J.C. Penny Outlet and retired after 15 years.

She was involved in all her grandchildren lives and loved them all.

Pernella Ann was a member of Bible Temple Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking and serving others, fishing, Bowling, Eating, and taking pictures with her grandbabies.

Parnella Ann Garcia was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence Mitchell Sr; brothers Albert Mitchell and Frank Mitchell; and daughter Kiva Ann Abraham.

She is survived by Gerald Sykes of Kansas City, KS; her daughter, Kaili Hinson; her son Kalvin Lewis of Kansas City, KS; her mother Gloria Jean Erwin; brothers Lawrence Mitchell and Charles Morris of Kansas City, KS; sister, Ruby Mitchell of Kansas City, KS; seven, grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; fifteen nieces and nephews; a host of other relatives and friends.
