Ophelia C. (Carr) Jackson

Life’s Reflection

Ophelia C. Jackson was born February 19, 1943 in Marianna, Arkansas to Janus Carr, Sr. and Nellie   Williams.

Ophelia departed this life on October 31, 2020 with her family by her side.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, James Jr. and Jerry Carr, Sr. and her sister, Margaret Brown as well as three children, Reginald, Gregory Carr, and Myrion Jackson.

Ophelia moved to Chicago as a youth where she received her education.  She worked for the City of Chicago during this time she met and married Leroy Jackson in 1965 and to this union four children were born, and they resided in Chicago, Illinois until 1981.

They relocated to Kansas City, Kansas where she was employed at Walmart until she retired in 2009.

Ophelia enjoyed cooking, sewing, and spending time with her family.

Ophelia leaves to cherish her memories her lifelong friend, Leroy Jackson three sons, Michael Epinger, Kenneth Carr and Donald Jackson; two daughters, Shannon Carr and Tracy Jackson all of Kansas   City,  Kansas; eight grandchildren, Kenyetta; Anthony (Kristen); Antwan; Kevin; Antonio; Stacia; Joshua; and Jeremiah; three great grandchildren, Keyon, Karter and Karma; one aunt, Lillie Bell Jones and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and lifelong friends.
