Ola Mae Perry Obituary

Ola Mae Lillian Perry, born on February 29, 1940, in Muskogee, Oklahoma, to Emma and Alex Robinson. She passed away on November 6, 2025, in Kansas City, Kansas. At a young age, Ola Mae accepted Christ and began a lifelong journey as a faithful follower. She was a devoted and steadfast fifty-year member of Mount Zion Baptist Church of Kansas City, Kansas.

Our Mother received her education in Wichita, Kansas at Plain View and North High Schools. During her journey in Wichita, she united in marriage with Collell Perry.

Graceful and stylish, Ola Mae was known for her elegance and beautifully stylish attire.

She found pleasure in preparing meals for family and friends and took great pride in her role as a devoted matriarch. The holidays were especially meaningful to her; she was renowned for her holiday feasts, where she cooked an abundance of dishes with love and made sure every child, grandchild, and great-grandchild felt welcomed, loved, seen, and fed. Her home was the family gathering place-filled with warmth, laughter, storytelling, and the unforgettable aroma of her cooking. Though she loved unconditionally, she carried a presence that made it clear when she meant business. Her family was truly the center of her world.

She enjoyed attending the events and activities of her children and grandchildren, always showing her support with pride and love. She cherished spending time visiting with her brother, cousins, and friends. She especially valued the closeness she shared with her first cousins, the Irving's and the Robinson's, whom she loved dearly.

Each year, she looked forward to celebrating one of her children, grandchildren's milestones-whether graduation, wedding, shower, or other special occasions. Throughout her working life, she was employed in various industries, ultimately retiring from Continental Plastics, a subsidiary of Procter & Gamble, after 20 years of dedicated service.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her maternal and paternal grandparents; her husband, Collell Perry; her son, Alfred Darnell Golden; her grandsons, Jay Terrace Hill Jr. and Thomas Lewis Il; and her great-grandchildren, Cameron Golden and Kemyia Hill (Cupcake).

She leaves to cherish her love and memories and will be forever missed by her six children: Billie Ann Roberson of Dallas, Texas; Keith Roberson (Norma), Jay Hill Sr., Debra Hill (Danny), Tommy Lewis, and LaDonna Roberson, all of Kansas City, her brother, Lee Autry Roberson of Kansas City, Missouri, along with a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends. She will be forever loved and deeply missed by all who were blessed to know her.
