Nadine Evans-Mitchell

Nadine Mitchell, 70, passed away on June 19, 2023 at St. Luke’s Hospice, Kansas City, MO. She was born October 11, 1952 in Newark, Ohio to Nathaniel Evans and Vera Hollingshed-Evans. Nadine grew up in Newark, OH where she graduated from Newark High School in 1970.  Along with her beloved mother, Vera, sister Pamela, and son SanQuan, the family moved to Kansas City, KS to be with the rest of the Hollingshed family.

She married Harvey Mitchell, on October 12, 1974, and in the coming years, welcomed children, Shonna, and Harvey, Jr.

The beauty of her memory is characterized by her undying passion to help others in need and to share the gospel of Christ. She was involved in various charities, organizations through her church, which she adored.

Nadine is survived by her husband, Harvey Mitchell or ‘Mitch’ and her children SanQuan, Shonna and Harvey, Jr. and their perspective families.
