Melvin E. Sowell Jr., 75, passed aways on January 1, 2023, in Kansas City. He was born on August 4, 1947, in Kansas City, Missouri to Melvin and Willie Welldon Sowell, Sr.
Melvin (Butch) grew up in Kansas City, Kansas. Melvin graduated from Sumner High School in Kansas City, Kansas in 1975. He worked at General Motors and for Sunshine Biscuits for any years.
He married Ardena in Kansas City, Kansas. They were happily married for 52 years.
Melvin enjoyed fishing, listening to music, and watching TV.
He leaves to cherish his memories his Wife Ardena of Kansas City, Kansas; his children, Rhond Streeter, Donzela, Tracy Sowell, Melvin III Sowell, Tiffany Sowell, Lacreisa Sowell, Arvenda Green, Karen Sowell, Alfonzo Sowell; His grandchildren, Ralashell Hubbard, Lavette Sowell, Tywon Hubbard, Stiawntag Sowell and many more; his great grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
