Melvin Robinson Jr. Obituary

Life’s Reflection

Melvin “Mel” Leon Robinson Jr. was the seventh of seven children born to Margaret Louise and Melvin Leon Robinson Sr. on May 29, 1971 in Kansas City, Missouri.  God called him home on November 5, 2019.

Mel was an enthusiastic go getter in life.  He spent his early years at Washington High School.  Later, he united with the love of his life Fredrenia, and to that union four boys were born.  Mel was deeply loved throughout the Wyandotte and Jackson county community.  Mel never met a stranger; he was always ready to help people.

Mel worked various jobs throughout his career, he worked at K & L Company for twelve years and later worked for Kansas City Steak for a total of six and half years, until the week before his death, he took medical leave due to illness.

He had a love for fishing, dancing, music (especially Tupac), dogs, and all the family functions.  Melvin always had words of wisdom, to give to all his nieces, nephews, and for all young people.

Melvin was preceded in death by his parents, Margaret and Melvin Robinson Sr.; two sisters, Sandra and Tina.

Melvin leaves to cherish his memories his lifelong partner of twenty-four years Fredrenia; four boys, Keyshaun; Casey (Taylor); Hy-Sun and Lamel; four siblings, Bobby (Marion); Sharon (Oscar); Cynthia (Merle) and Tonya; six grandchildren, Keyshaun Jr.; Kamora; Kylie; Kali; Casey Jr.; and Honor; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
