Maxine Gregory

Maxine Gregory,87 years old, passed away on July 23, 2023. She was born on January 30, 1936, in Kansas City, MO to Matthew James Comoux Sr. and Genevieve Henry Comoux. Maxine grew up in Kansas City, KS. Maxine attended Northeast Jr High School in Kansas City, KS, she completed the 9th grade in 1951. She began working at Spartans as a stocker where she worked for 10 years. Maxine married Fred Alexander Gregory Sr. in 1952 in Kansas City, KS. They were happily married for 34 years. She was a member of the Christ Church of The Jesus Hour the late Rev. Russell W. Davis Sr. Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, Matthew James Comoux Sr. and Genevieve Henry Comoux; her husband Fred Alexander Gregory Sr. Her siblings, Matthew James Comoux Jr., James Comoux, Edward Lee Comoux, and Edwin Gene Comoux; her son, Maxie David Gregory.

Maxine is survived by her children, Freda Ann Hardiman of Houston, TX, Fred Alexander Gregory Jr. of Richmond, TX, Geneva Lucille Howard of Kansas City, KS,  Alexander Gregory of Land O’ Lakes, Florida, and a sister Mary Virginia Hopkins of Grandview, MO; her grandchildren, Andrea (Jarvis), Andrian (Sanyell), Frederick (Julane), Michelle ( Robert ) and Elora ( Edward ); great-grandchildren, Jaylyn, Adrianna, Adrienne, Berkley, Brooklyn, Noah, Amayah, Pearl, and Lucille; her aunt Sam Ella Miller of Los Angeles, CA; a host of other cousins and friends.
