Mary grew up in Kansas City, Kansas, and graduated from Wyandotte High School in 1973. She was always smiling, telling people how much she loved them, and ready to bring warmth and hugs to everyone in the room.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Catherine and Richard White; and her sister, Cozetta White.
Mary is survived by her son, Marc Sappington; her sister, Pamela Anderson, and her husband, Thomas Anderson; her brother, Richard White III; her sister, Carolyn Obiefule, and her husband, Theophilus Obiefule; and her brothers, Rufus White and Charles White — all residing in Kansas.
