Life’s Reflections

Marion Louise Richardson was born September 1, 1933 in Prescott, Arkansas to William Redic and Udora Tidwell Redic.  Marion grew up in Prescott, Arkansas.

She received her GED in 1990, for education was very important to her even though she chose to be a homemaker for most of her adult life.  Marion married Vernell Richardson in 1954 in Kansas City, Kansas.  They were happily married for 61 years.

Marion was a faithful member of Mason Memorial United Methodist Church, she was communion Steward, member of the United Methodist Women, Head of the Kitchen Committee and she was a very faithful Usher.

Marion enjoyed fishing, gardening, cooking, and baking.  She also loved puzzles and board games.  Her favorite pastime was reading the bible. 

Marion Louis Richardson 84 passed away Monday June 25, 2018 at her residence.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 61 years Vernell Richardson, Sr.; three sons, Vernell Richardson, Jr.; Garry Richardson; and Jeffrey Richardson; sisters, Christine Redic; Addie Mae Babb; and Cleverne Redic Young; one brother William “Sonny” Redic.

Marion leaves to cherish her memory daughter, Sandra Richardson; son, Kenneth Richardson (Kimberly) both of Kansas City, Kansas; four grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and one great great granddaughter; sister, Theorene Redic of Connecticut; a host of nieces, nephews, cousin, friend, neighbors, and other family members.
