Marguerite grew up in Kansas City, Kansas. She graduated from Sumner Academy in 1946. Later in life, she married Edward Wake in Kansas City, Kansas.

Marguerite is survived by her sister Rosa Davis of Kansas City, MO; her 3 grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
