Remembering Margaret

The final chapter of life came gently and prayerfully to Margaret Ann Marshall Riley early Tuesday morning April 24, 2018.  Though a link in the Marshall family circle is broken her spirit still dwells among us.

Margaret Ann Marshall Riley was born June 8, 1947 to the late Earl and Betty Whitley Marshall.  She attended Kealing, Stowe Elementary Schools, Northeast Junior High School and Sumner High School, where she graduated in the Class of 1965.

Margaret was united in marriage to Roudolph Riley, Sr. in 1965.  Margaret accepted Christ at an early age uniting with Trinity A.M.C Church. She served faithfully as President of Missionary Society at Trinity, Midwest Conference Branch Trustee, Lay Secretary, Midwest Branch Conference Recording Secretary, Historiographer/Statistician, Fifth District Treasure/Finance Secretary for fifth District, Midwest Conference, Lay Organization. Margaret was also a faithful member working with the Y.P.D. Food Pantry and cooked for a few of the Annual Conferences that Trinity hosted.

She leaves to morn her demise, her husband, Roudolph Riley, Sr.; son, Roudolph Riley, Jr.; eight sisters, Earlene McDaniel of Las Vegas, Nevada; Charlotte J. Marshall of Tampa, Florida; Khauaze Az-Zubair of Kansas City, Missouri; Diana L. Smith; Linda C. Marshall; and Karen M. Marks all of Kansas City, Kansas; Dana Marshall of Dallas, Texas; four brothers, Earl S. Marshall of Kansas City, Kansas; Alan I. Marshall of Minneapolis, Minnesota; Arthur Marshall (Denise) of Kansas City, Missouri; Dennis D. Marshall of Austin, Texas; one aunt, Ruth Sparks of Boston, Massachusetts; one granddaughter, Taylar Riley; one great-granddaughter, Nariah Riley both of Kansas City, Kansas; plus nieces, nephews, cousins, and host of friends from East Coast to the West Coast

Death may remove the physical body from our presence, but nothing can erase the memories, the joys, sorrows, and the love of the holy spirit which dwelt there and your strong commitment to family unity.
