Life’s Reflection
Mrs. Margaret Ree Richardson was born in Shelby, Mississippi on May 14, 1934. She was the fourth child to the union of MC and Olivia (Williams) Thomas. Her parents and siblings: James Thomas Sr.; Earl Thomas; and Leroy Thomas Sr. all preceded her in death.
Margaret was a proud woman. She always exemplified enduring strength, resiliency and zeal in every effort done. She was ambitious, lived life with zest and had a great appeal to anyone around her, often called the “feisty” one of the group (smiles). Mother Richardson was reliable and had the home you can always call “home”. She loved the Lord and her family with all her heart and will. She made sure the values of Christ were first.
After high school, in 1953 she married Ruben B. Wesley Sr., to this union 3 children were born: Renita, Ruben Jr., and Herthon. In 1969, she later married J.C Richardson, and to this union 1 child was born Laverio Richardson. Mother Richardson then attended Cosmetology School at Ms. Loving Beauty College where she became a licensed beautician. She then followed up work at Brand and Purity and then KU Medical in 1975. She found her niche at Certain-teed Fiber Manufacturing Company where she retired in 1996. After retirement, she proudly worked at the Kansas City Housing Authority for 11 years.
She leaves to cherish her memory her sister, Mrs. Bessie Bagby of Kansas City, Kansas; her children, Renita (Niecy) C. Weed; Ruben (Ron,Junie) B. Wesley Jr., from Kansas City, Missouri; Herthon (Preacher) U. Wesley (whom preceded her in death) from Kansas City, Kansas; and baby boy Laverio (Tut) Richardson from Ft. Worth, Texas; her grandchildren, Tiffany M. Nunn; Andre T. Weed; Jennifer, and Jessica Wesley; Iris Wesley-Coleman; and Alexis Wesley from Kansas City, Kansas; and Lyric M. Richardson from Ft. Worth, Texas; her great-grandchildren, Andreanna Weed; Penni Wesley; Jaime Henderson Jr.; Jaylon Carter; Angel; Mykela; Mykel Ross Jr.; Jerome Jr.; and Joseph Banks all from Kansas City, Kansas; Layla; and London Williams from San Diego, California; and a host of other relatives and friends.
