Life’s Reflection

Maggie Adams was born on January 11, 1933, in Snowlake, Arkansas to Lee and Mary Gardner Holliday.

Maggie married Elton Hamilton Sr. in 1953 in Kansas City, Kansas five children was born to this union. They were happily married for 18 years until his death. Then she married Clinton Adams in 1976, in Kansas City, Kansas.  They were happily married, til his death on December 28, 2004.

Maggie worked at  SRS as a Home Health Care Provider.  Maggie retired in 1992 after twenty-five years or more in the Health Care Service. She was a member of Salem Baptist Church where she enjoyed working on the Usher Board, being a Sunday School Teacher, Deaconess, and in The Good News Club.   Maggie loved spending time with her family and friends. 

Maggie Adams 89, passed away on July 25, 2022, at her home in Kansas City, Kansas.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee; and Mary Holliday; siblings, Wilbur Holliday; Tom Holliday; Dorothy Hall; and Betty Woods; daughter, Loretta Hamilton; son, John Hamilton.

Left to cherish Maggie’s memory her sons, Elton Hamilton Jr. (Wincy); Mark Hamilton; and Richard Hamilton Sr. all of Kansas City, Kansas; brothers, Fred Holiday (Eva); and Willie B. Birch; sister, Ella Mae Scott (Howard); her eight grandchildren, LaKeisha Robinson; Kayana Carter (Glenn); Tiiá Hamilton; Jasmine Hamilton; Joel Hamilton (Sarah); Richard Hamilton Jr.; Gavin Hamilton; and Desiree Hamilton; her sixteen great grandchildren; her nieces, nephews, a host of other relatives and friends.
