Mae “Mama Mae” Frances Herman, 77, passed away on Saturday 4th of December 2021, at St. Luke’s East Hospital in Lee’s Summit, Missouri. She was born on July 27, 1944, in Atlanta, Texas to Primas Neal and Lucy (Wicks) Jones.

Mae grew up in Atlanta, Texas. Life eventually led her to Kansas City, Kansas. She began work for Houlihan’s as a line cook where she worked for 42 years. She retired in 2010 after 42 years.

Mae married Baron in 1967, in Kansas City, Kansas. They were happily married for 54 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, her Hallmark Christmas movies, and loved going to the casino with her sister.

Mae was preceded in death by her mother, Lucy; father, Primas; sisters, Dolly Jones; and Bertha Mae Tatum; and daughter, Gloria Neal.

Mae is survived by her spouse Baron of Kansas City, Missouri; her sons, Victor Neal; and Kevin (Vickie) Herman; and daughter, Bonita Jones of Kansas City, Missouri; her grandchildren, Jasmine; Brandon; and Kayla Neal; Santesa (Cameron) Gentry; and Kyle Jones; along with many great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and other relatives.
