Life’s Reflection
Loreace Watley at the age of 83, passed away on May 24, 2022, at The University of Kansas Hospital in Kansas City, Kansas. She was born on December 2, 1938, in Marion, Louisiana and was the second child of the late Elder Ladell and Corene McGough Bilberry.
Loreace grew up in Marion, Louisiana and graduated from Union Parish High School in Farmerville, Louisiana in 1958.
Loreace relocated to Kansas City, Kansas, became a member of Zion Travelers Missionary Baptist Church while working for the Kansas Department for Children & Family Services as a social worker, where she retired after 29 ½ years in 1999. During that time, she received her Associate in Arts Degree at the Kansas City Kansas Community College and earned her Nursing License as a Certified Medical Assistant at the Area Vocational Technical School. Loreace worked various nursing facilities such as Medical Lodge Post-Acute Care Center and Delaware Highland Assistant Living for 12 years till the time of her death. Her hobbies included working outside in her garden, traveling and social gaming.
She was married to her late husband Clenton Watley for 25 years (Deceased).
She leaves a legacy of love and memories that will live forever in the lives and hearts of her daughters, Carolyn Watley (KCMO); Kathy Watley (KCMO); adopted children, Pricilla Watley (KCK); and Lawson Watley (KCK); one stepson, Clenton Watley Jr. (wife Ravena) of California; raised, Melissa Hamilton (KCK); and Elouise Robles (Olathe, KS); 12 grandchildren; and one granddaughter (deceased); 9 great grandchildren; brothers, Clarence and Richard Bilberry (deceased); Ladell Bilberry Jr. (wife Mary) of Dallas, Texas; Herbert Bilberry Sr. of (KCK); sisters, Emma Bilberry Payne (deceased); LoEast Bilberry Watkins (KCK); and Clare Bilberry Colbert (husband Braxton) of (KCK); and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
