Her Life Story

Linda Grace Wallace was born on September 2, 1946, in Bonner Springs, Kansas, to the union of Clayborn F. and Margaret L. Taylor (who both proceeded her in death).  She received most of her primary education in the Bonner Springs school district and graduated class of 1964 from Manual High School in Kansas City, Missouri.  Linda received her Associate’s Degree in General Education from Donnelly College then concluded her studies with a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources from St. Mary’s University in Leavenworth, Kansas.  Following her education, she was a Nurse’s Aide for CY Clinic and a substitute teacher for Kansas City Public School.

She married the love of her life Taylor Wallace Sr.  in Bonner Springs, Kansas on November 23, 1964 (who proceeded her in death).  To this union three children were born, two sons and one daughter.  Together, a life of cherished memories was made.  Both were avid sports enthusiasts served side by side in Christian ministries and sheltered/ fostered countless children in the community.  She was a devoted wife and homemaker for over 40 yrs.   She will be truly missed for her wittiness, quick comebacks, and legendary fried chicken! To have loved Linda meant she “loved you better”.

Linda had a great devotion for children and service to her community, which was exampled in her life’s work.  She gave her life to Christ at an early age and became a member of Macedonia MBC in the early 1970’s under the leadership of the late OL. Cobbins.  She committed her dedication to her beloved church home, Macedonia MBC of Kansas City, Kansas.  Linda served on the Kitchen Committee for over 30 yrs., was a Deaconess, Youth Sponsor, an active member of the Mission Board and Area Women’s Field Mission for Sunshine District of KC.

Linda Wallace was preceded in death by one sister, Carol Swiney of Kansas City, Missouri; and five brothers, Delbert F. Taylor; James R. Taylor; Richard C. Taylor; Louis Taylor; and Gerald T. Taylor of Kansas City, Kansas and Kansas City, Missouri; one grandpup, Diva.

She leaves to cherish her memory one sister, Sharon Dennis of Kansas City, Missouri and two brothers, Charles Taylor of Andover, Kansas; and Cecil Taylor of Kansas City, Missouri; two sons, Taylor Wallace Jr. (Teresa); and Tyrone Wallace Sr. (Althea); one daughter, Terri Wallace; one Godson Joseph Johnson; grandchildren; Taylor Wallace III (Racquel); Tyliese Wallace; T.J. Wallace; Tylen Wallace; Tylieea Wallace; Tyrone Wallace Jr (Aldanae); Travon Wallace; and Dakota Wallace; grandpup, Miami; and 13 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
