Linda Darnell (Hightower) Criswell

Linda D. Criswell, 76, of Kansas City, KS, passed away peacefully on January 21, 2026, at North Kansas Hospital. Born on March 18, 1949, in Parsons, KS, to Zack and Juanita (Pointer) Hightower, Linda grew up in Kansas City and was a proud 1968 graduate of Wyandotte High School.

Linda shared 18 wonderful years of marriage with her husband, Richard Criswell. Together, they found great joy in exploring the world and traveling. A woman of deep faith, she was a dedicated member of Mt. Sinai Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard, her parents, Zack and Juanita Hightower, her two granddaughters, La’seanna and Tawanna Hightower, and her two brothers, LeRoy and Clifford Hightower.

Her memory will be cherished by her sons, Kevin, Tyrone, and Torrence Hightower; and her siblings, Zack Hightower, Faye Hightower, and June Johnson. Linda also leaves behind a vibrant legacy of 17 grandchildren, a host of great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
