Life’s Reflection

Lillie Mae Everette, 78, of Kansas City, Kansas departed this life on July 13, 2022, surrounded by family.

She was born on November 19, 1943, in Clarksdale, Mississippi. The daughter of James Lee and Voila Thomas-Williams, she was fourth sibling of five children.  She attended school in Kansas City, Kansas and was employed by Kansas City, Kansas School USD 500 Transportation for 19 years.

Lillie united in marriage to William Frank Everette on July 26, 1984.  After retirement they traveled the world and enjoyed their family.  Lillie loved crafting and making flower arrangements, she also loved watching the Game Channel, playing games, and picnics with the family.  She was an active member of Oak Ridge Missionary Baptist Church, where she served on the Deaconess Ministry and Decorating committee. 

Lillie was preceded in death by her husband, William Frank; and daughter, Nuretha Roberts.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Maurice “Reece”; and LeKesha Roberts of Olathe, Kansas; daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Terence Wilson, Sr. of Shawnee, Kansas; sister, Leola Willis; five grandchildren, Terence Jr.; TyAaron; Tyler; McKenzie; and Maurice; a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
