Life’s Reflection
Leroy entered this life on October 11, 1938 in Kansas City, Missouri on the Westside to Thomas E. Bartlett Sr. and Elizabeth Green Bartlett. At and early age, the family moved to Kansas City, Kansas. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas E. Bartlett Sr.; mother, Elizabeth Clark; stepfather, Matthew Clark; and sister, Joyce Manning.
He attended Northeast Junior High School and Sumner High School graduating in the class of 1956. After high school he joined the United States Army.
In the late 1950’s he met and married Alice Carter from Wichita, Kansas and to this union no children were born.
They opened a Liquor and Party Shoppe together, called the Bartlett Party Shoppe for many years. Years, later they sold the business.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting and collected all type of electric gadgets.
He leaves to cherish his memory two daughters, LaLani White of Kansas City, Missouri and Timatree Toliver (Richard) of Coffeyville Kansas; two grandsons, LeRoyce White Sr. of Kansas City, Missouri and Richard Toliver Jr. of Columbia, South Carolina; two granddaughters, Brandi Seals and Joi Toliver both of Tulsa, Oklahoma; two great grandsons; four great granddaughters; three great-great grandchildren; one brother, Thomas E. Bartlett Jr.; two sisters, Janice Williams of Huntsville, Alabama and Shirley Bartlett of Las Vegas, Nevada a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
