LESLIE JO JACKSON

Leslie Jo Jackson of Kansas City, Missouri, entered eternity on Friday, 18 October 2024, succumbing to pancreatic cancer at 75 years young. Leslie was born in Kansas City, Missouri, on June 6, 1949, to Curtis L. Jackson and Edwina G. Jackson (Floyd). She was the third eldest of eight children. Leslie graduated from Central High School and attended Texas Southern University on a track scholarship. Leslie enjoyed playing softball and fishing. She traveled to Guam, Alaska, and Virginia, to support her daughter serving in the US Air Force and help raise her grandchildren. In 2009 she returned back to Kansas City to enjoy her retirement. Leslie is survived by her two daughters Leslie L. Jackson of Norfolk, VA., and Aretha C. Jackson of Kansas City; five grandchildren, NaTarra, Roger, Deja, Michaela, and Christa; two great-grandchildren, Ky and Emery Rose; six siblings: Leona Johnson, Anna L. Jackson, Curtis L. Jackson, Jr., Lauretta D. Owens, Aretha C. Jackson, and Kenneth C. Jackson, her dogs Poppa and Bella, as well as a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.
