Life’s Portrait
On Friday, January 31, 2020, Kimberly Diane “String Bean” Jordan Carter passed away at the age of 51.
The Lord was first in Kim’s life, with whom she had a personal relationship. Family and friends knew Kim best for her unique sense of humor, there was rarely an encounter with Kim that did not bring a smile to your face or have you in extreme laughter. Kim had a calm demeanor, beautiful smile & loving spirit. She took pride in spending quality time with her family, grandchildren and sons, and being fashionable. For hobbies, she found pleasure in surfing YouTube channels and the maintenance of her nails and hair. Kim graduated from Liberty High School in the class of 1986. For 20 plus years, she was a dedicated employee of General Motors Assembly Plant.
She was preceded in external life by her younger sister, Natasha Porter; grandparents, Elcena and Henry Buie; William Bryant Sr; uncle, Charles Galloway.
Kim will forever be missed by her loving three sons, Dimitre, Antoine, and D’Andre Jordan; her parents, Robert and Mary Porter; her grandchildren, Jakar and Lailani; sister, Lisa Gross; brothers, Robert Morris and Nakia Casey; also a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, uncles and aunts.
