Keith Lorenzo Jones

Keith Lorenzo Jones, 61, passed away on January 5, 2025, at Providence Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas. Keith was born on February 16, 1963, in Kansas City, Kansas to Sam and Shelby (Johnson) Jones. Keith grew up in Kansas City, Kansas. He graduated from F.L. Schlage High School in 1981. After high school, he attended Donnelly College (KCK) where he graduated as a Valedictorian, College of the Canyons (California), and Texas College (Tyler, Texas). After college,e he began working for UPS as a Packagecar driver where he worked for 20 years. Soon after he

established Jones Lawncare LLC. Keith was also a member of Community Missionary Baptist Church.

Keith married Angela Bagsby on August 24, 1986, in KCK. They were happily married for 38 years. He enjoyed camping, fishing (fish fries), hunting, golfing, studying, searching, and spending time with family and close friends.

Keith was known by so many people from all walks of life. He was always happy and so full of vigor, a joy to be around. Keith was down to earth, funny, and was always ready to have a good time. If you spent any time around him, it wouldn’t be long before he had you belly laughing about something. His smile was infectious, and his charisma made it easy for people to gravitate to him. He was passionate about everything he did, whether it was work or play. Keith was a great man, a wonderful husband, a present father, an incredible friend, and an all-around genuine person. (but please don’t take his kindness for weakness!!!!) It was rare that Keith called anyone by their birth name, he always gave a unique name to everybody he met. For the last 10 years of Keith’s life, he developed a fervent walk in his spiritual journey, seeking only TRUTH. He enjoyed gaining knowledge and understanding of WHO we are, WHERE we come from, and OUR purpose here on earth.

Keith was preceded in death by his Father Sam Jones Jr, Mother Shelby (Johnson) Seawood, Grandmother Anna Ollie Johnson, Grandfather Sam Jones Sr., and (uncles) Clinton Johnson and Tommy Johnson.

Keith is survived by his spouse Angela Jones (KCK); sons, Keith Jones II and Aaron Jones; daughters, Whitney (Ryan) Jackson and Cortney Jones; grandchildren, Easton and De’Qari Jackson; Brothers, Larry (Doris) Jones, Michael Jones; sisters, Tammie (Rodney), Gentry, and Lisa White; uncle, Frank Jones; aunt, Glenda Hildreth; mother-in-law, RosaLee Bagsby; Special aunt and uncle Sam and Hazel Robinson; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and special friends.
