Joyce Marie (Hanna) Wickliffe, 84, passed away on January 25, 2023 at Promise Hospital in Overland Park, KS. She was born on August 10, 1938, in Kansas City, KS to John J. Hanna and Ruby E. (Berry) Hanna.

Joyce grew up in Kansas City, KS. She graduated from Summer High School in Kansas City, KS in 1956. Joyce M. Wickliffe was married to Lewis Wickliffe Jr. for 30 years. To this union three children were born. Joyce had various jobs, she retired from Social Security after 30 years.

Joyce Marie Wickliffe was preceded in death by her parents Rev. John Hanna and Ruby E. Hanna; her four brothers Robert Hanna, Eugene Hanna, John Hanna, and James Hanna; her sister Johnetta Vaughn; her daughter Joy Lynn Wickliffe and two grandsons, Tomerig and Erig E. Wickliffe.

Joyce is survived by her three children of Lynnette Craig (David) of Kansas City, Kansas, Lewis Wickliffe III (Shenice Bruce) of Grandview, Missouri and Eric E. Wickliffe ( Angie) of Lee summit; her brothers Wayne E. Hanna(Joyce) of Kansas City and Denis L. Hanna of Texas; Her grandchildren, Jaeson L. Wickliffe, Lakeisha M. Carter, Brian M. Poindexter, Myles J. Wickliffe, Eric E. Wickliffe Jr., Joi L. Wickliffe, De’vionne M. Craig, Eron J. Wickliffe, Michael D. Wickliffe, Daniel L. Craig, David K. Craig and Tomya Carter-Wickliffe ; her bonus grandchildren, Jarvis A. Ford, Jared R. Morgan and Akiya J. Sharp; and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Towards the end not knowing the end was near, mommy kept saying “I want to see mother and daddy.” Now you can rest mommy, we will miss you, but we know you are in a better place. Keep a watch over us all. We love you, Joyce Marie. I will remember everything you taught me.
