Joseph Chiazor Okolo
Joseph Chiazor Okolo (Achincosta) was born in 1946 to the family of the late Sebastine Uzodimma Okolo and Madam Regina Nwabugwu Okolo (Nee Chikobi). He lost his father early in life and grew up under the watchful eye of his mother. Joseph as a young boy was outgoing and likeable.
Achinkosta manifested signs of intelligence at a very tender age and that made for his early enrollment into the Primary School. After his primary education he got admitted into Bubendorff Grammar School Adazi Nnukwu. Achinkosta as he was popularly known and called was a good Footballer. Achinkosta still excelled in his west African School Certificate (W.A.S.C.).
During the Civil War (The Nigerian Biafran War) from 1967 to 1970, Achinkosta enrolled into the Army and was a Lieutenant in the Biafran Army. He was a devoted Army Officer who dutifully played out his roll as a trusted Army Commander. At the end of the Civil War (1967-1970) Joseph went back to school to complete his high school career. Joseph moved to Lagos to face the new reality of life. His brother, Chief Francis Okolo, who double as his father was readily available to welcome him. He secured employment with The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) Apapa Quays Lagos. He worked there for some good time. But when the zeal to further his education took over him, he quickly moved to America. Did he Achieved His purpose? Yes, he did. He received a Bachelors Degree from the University of Missouri, Kansas City and also obtained his Certified Public Accountant Certificate. He was a (CPA) Certified Public Accountant of a High Repute.
Joseph was preceded in death by his father, Sebastine Uzodimma Okolo; mother, Regina Nwabugwu (Allweather).; Janet Ugoye Okoye (Nee-Okolo); Peter Ndianefo Okolo (Pikolo); and Bernadette Ifeanyinwa Okolo.
Joseph Chiazor Okolo is survived by his son, David Chiazor Okolo; brothers and sisters, Patrick Okolo; Sebastine Okolo (wife, Ifeoma Okolo); Paul Okolo (wife, Waldrene Okolo); Chief Francis Okolo; Mrs. Monica Iloegbunam; Tessy Okolo; Tony Okolo; Vicky Okolo; and Maureen Okolo.
Achinkosta our darling, The Okolo Family has been thrown into another phase of mourning. Your brother, whom you called Pikolo has just exited into glory only for you to follow suit within a year, a year, and four months. Truly we your people, we cannot describe the way we feel at this period of time. Only God knows as is only God that is our strength. It is only in him we live and in him we move and have our being. We along with your son, bid you fare the well. May God grant you eternal rest in Heaven.
