Joe Dean Robinson

Joe Robinson was born on September 04, 1959, to David and Shirley Brooks in Hayti, Missouri. Joe departed this life on January 24, 2026.

Preceding him in death were his mother, “Shake”, maternal and paternal grandparents, 4 uncles, 5 aunts, and 3 siblings, Horace Robinson, DeeDee Robinson, and James Davis, (“Plus one brother & sister”), Kevin and Briget Carter.

Joe attended Hayti High, where he excelled in “Baseball and Basketball.” Until the family moved to KCK, where he attended Summer High School.

Joe worked numerous years for C.L. Fairley Construction Co. and took an early retirement as a Contracted Floor Tech at KU Medical Center.

Joe leaves to cherish his memories, the love of his life and his rock, “Erica” Renee Carter; 2 daughters Jalyssa and Jalyecce Robinson; 1son, Eric Carter ( Marika); his devoted grandson, De’Von Carter; devoted nephew, “Zai”; 8 sisters, Sharee, Mae, Monique, “Marsha”, Candi, Nikki, Donnie and (“plus one sister”) Jackie (Brown) Hadnot (Greg); 1 brother, Cecil Brooks; 4 uncles, “Syl”, Kenneth (Vanessa), Billy Gene and Bobby Ray (Robinson);1 aunt Geraldine Williams; (close cousins) “Niecey”, “Ray Ray”, “Paul Edward”, Moses “aka Moe” Brooks and Alfred “Billy” Edmondson; 5 grandchildren, De’Von, Erica and Londyn Carter, Daniel Brown and Rey’Ven Allen; 8 great grandchildren, Ka’Mori, Kadynce, Kabre, Kaari, DJ, Kamree, Chassity and Mariah (Carter); his earthly mom, “Mama Carter”; a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
