Jennie Mae Collier passed away on August 26, 2021 at KU Medical Center surrounded by her loved ones. She was born August 12, 1946 to Hezekiah Rodgers and Madge Lawson Rodgers in Kansas City, Kansas.
Jennie grew up in Kansas City, Kansas. She also spent time in Memphis, Tennessee where she worked as a Nanny. Jennie obtained her G.E.D. later on in life. She worked years as a preschool teacher at St. Benedict Church in Kansas City, Kansas. She was also employed at Empire Candle Factory for many years.
Jennie enjoyed being with her family and tending to her many plants.
She was preceded in death by her husband Dennis Lee Collier; her son, William Lavell Collier; her parents and her siblings.
Jennie is survived by her children, Terrell Collier Sr.; her daughter, Latosha Collier both of Kansas City, Kansas; Eleven grandchildren, Reginald jr.; Brianna; Delvin; jasmine; Alexis; Shai; TaJai; Kobe; Nyia; Terrell Jr.; and Reginald; her nieces; nephews; a host of Jennie Jrs.; her special baby daddy Tramell (Ronnie) Thompson.
