James Artis Truelove of Kansas City, Kansas passed away on December 27, 2018 at the age of 90. James was born in Sulligent, Alabama to Elijah and Ola Mae (Long) Truelove.
James accepted Christ at an early age and was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Kansas City, Kansas. James served as an Ordained Deacon and for 20 years he faithful drove the church van. James was a volunteer for the church’s monthly harvester food pantry until his health declined.
James was self-employed and the owner of Trueloves Lawn Service. James was an avid baseball and football fan often watching games on two televisions at a time. James enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.
James was Preceded in death by his parents, his wife Carrie; four sister and one brother.
James leaves to cherish his memory his precious daughter, Cynthia Jackson (Roy); granddaughter, Kandi Jackson; great-grandson, Aaron Jackson; special nephews, El and Billy Joe and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
