James E. Harris

Life’s Reflection

James E. Harris was born on January 1, 1937 in Farrell, Mississippi to Lonzo Harris and Bertha Bryant Harris.  James grew up in Farrell, Mississippi and graduated from McCloud High School.  After high school James moved to Santa Barbara, California where he began to work for University of California, Santa Barbara retiring with 30 years of loyal service as a Custodian.  As a member of the church, he sang in the Male Choir.  James loved to Bar-B-Q.

James E. Harris 84 passed away on March 25, 2021 at Golden Living in Edwardsville, Kansas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lonzo Harris and Bertha Harris; his siblings, David; Lonell; Herman; Thelma; Oralee; Berthella; and Lillie.

Left to cherish his memory his son, James Harris Jr. of Santa Barbara, California; his daughter, Renee Harris of Hueneme, California; his siblings, Fredie Harris; Otis Harris; Jessie Noel; Earnest Harris; and Isaac Harris all of Kansas City, Kansas; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
