Jacqueline Cheryl Woods, 74 passed away on Saturday January 28th, 2023, at 8:14 am at Saint Luke’s South Hospital in Overland Park, KS. She was born on December 12th in Tyler, Texas to Curtis and Cora Jackson Dunn.
Jackie grew up in Tyler, Texas. She graduated from Emmett Scott High School in Tyler, Texas in 1968 where she was a proud member of the Rosettes. After high school she attended Texas Southern University in Houston, Texas where she studied Psychology.
After college, Jackie worked as a Social Worker and then alongside her Husband in both their family restaurant and then eventually in an industrial supply business.
Jackie married the love of her life Ronald Woods in 1970 in Tyler, Texas at Miles Chapel Church. They were happily married for 54 years.
She enjoyed attending Mt. Olive Baptist church, playing the lottery, shopping and exploring new restaurants and sitting outside in the sun in her favorite chair.
She was preceded in death by her Parents Curtis and Cora Dunn, her Brother Richard Dunn of Overland Park, KS.
Jackie is survived by her spouse Ronald Woods of Overland Park, KS. Her Daughter Erika Woods of New York and her 2 sons Ronald C. Woods of Kansas City, MO and Jordan Woods of Kansas City, MO. Her 2 Brothers Robert Dunn of Huntington Beach, CA and Ronald Dunn of Tyler, Texas and her Granddaughter Kameron Woods of Kearney, MO. Her lovely Brother in-laws and Sister in-laws that she considered family. Her Nephews; a host of other relatives and friends.
