Ja'Kailah Dezirae' Iveryana Jones, beloved daughter of Rozelle Jones and Quinishia Tatum, entered this world on February 25, 2026, in Overland Park, Kansas, and departed it far too soon on March 18, 2026, in the same city that first cradled her life.
In her brief time on earth, Ja'Kailah’s presence was a gentle whisper of grace, a quiet reminder of how deeply a life can be felt, no matter how small or short. She was a tender light to her family, a loving soul whose memory will forever rest in their hearts. Though her journey was just beginning, her spirit reflected a soft kind of adventure—the brave act of arriving, touching lives, and leaving them forever changed.
Waiting to welcome her with open arms in heaven is her twin; paternal grandfather, Roy Jones, Sr.; maternal grandfather, Wiley Tatum, Sr.; uncle, Jeryl Lamar Davis; aunt, Angela Austin; and cousins, Ja’Kaiya Nixon and Scott Sappington, Jr.
Her gentle spirit will be carried forward by her loving parents, Rozelle and Quinishia; sisters, Timariyah Folk, Mariah Johnson and Zhay’ LaNae Haygood; brother, Rozelle Jones, Jr.; paternal grandmother, Patricia Jones; maternal grandmother, Karen Johnson; aunts, KimQisha Johnson, Barbara Austin and Kymberly Jones-James; uncles, Qion Tatum, Sr. and Roy Jones, Jr.; and all who held her close in their heart and in hope and love. Her absence is profound, yet her memory will remain a cherished part of their story, a delicate and sacred chapter written in love and sorrow, faith and remembrance.
