JAMES JONES

James I. Jones Sr was born April 10, 1955, in Altheimer, AR to Harvey Jones Sr and Lucille Jones. Both parents preceded him in death.

James was proceeded in death by 3 brothers and 2 sisters: Betty, Dorothy, Harvey Jr, Donald Ray, and Charles

He moved to Liberal, Ks as a young child where he went to school until he went to Clearfield Job Corp in Clearfield, Utah where he specialized in carpentry. He entered the US Navy in June 77 and was stationed on the USS Forrestal in Jacksonville FL until 1979. James joined the Tabernacle Baptist church served on the usher board and did maintenance work for that church until his illness overcame him.

James met Margaret in 1978 and of this union, there were 3 children: Richard, Angela, and James Jr.

James passed away peacefully on January 19, 2024, surrounded by family.

He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife Margaret of Kansas City, KS, 3 children: Richard of Kansas City, KS, Angela of Kansas City, KS, James Jr ( Rahina) of Kansas City, MO.  Grandchildren: James III, Alyssa, Kenneth (Ali), Yasmine, Halima, Eisa, Sufia, Rebekah, Amal and Bardikah, 1 Sister: Barbara of Kansas City, MO, 1 Brother: Sam (JoAnn) of  Nevada, MO, childhood friend Freddy and a host of nephews and nieces and friends.
